Robert Martin Schenborn Jr

Bob is an active member of the Arkansas Veterans Coalition and has contributed significantly as an American Legion member by attending the American Legion State Legislative Receptions. His presence reinforces the collective efforts to keep legislators informed of veterans' issues and necessary program changes. These issues include the elimination of personal income tax for all honorably retired veterans, in-state tuition at all Arkansas institutions of higher education for all honorably discharged veterans, the establishment of veterans' courts in most counties, and the creation of a veterans' home at an appropriate location.

Locally, Bob is an active member of The Northeast Arkansas Chapter of MOAA and is President-elect for the coming year. He is also involved in The American Legion, Pickett, Post #21, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Roy C. Wiles, Post 1991, serves as Battalion Commander of the Arkansas State University ROTC Alumni Battalion, and serves on the National Advisory Board of the Arkansas State University Beck "PRIDE" Center.

For the past six years, Bob has served as treasurer of the Craighead County Veterans Monument Foundation, Inc. (CCVMF). He has been a valuable asset to the foundation through his work and dedication. His responsibilities include managing finances, serving as Maintenance Director, ensuring prompt repairs, and acting as Commemorative Brick Coordinator. In this role, he designed and developed a certificate that indicates the exact location of each brick at the monument. Additionally, Bob coordinates the foundation's Veterans Day Parade, providing organization and direction. He is also Co-Chairman of the Veterans Day Military Ball.

In summary, Bob retired from the military after a distinguished career as an Army Officer but continues to serve his country and fellow veterans. His dedication to addressing veterans' issues is unwavering. LTC Bob Schoenborn, USA (Ret.), deserves recognition in the Arkansas Veterans Military Hall of Fame for his ongoing contributions.
