ABOUT US

OBJECTIVES

The Arkansas Military Veterans’ Hall of Fame, Inc. (AMVHOF) is a non-profit organization [501(c)(3)] that is based and incorporated in Arkansas whose objective is to publicly emphasize the honor brought to our state and nation by the sacrifice of Arkansas Military Veterans and their families.

HISTORY

The organization evolved out of a series of conversations among Arkansas veterans in late autumn of 2010, mainly (Ret) Col. Conrad Reynolds and (Ret) MSgt Paul Foster, after a dialogue exploring the need for an Arkansas veteran’s Hall of Fame. It was determined that such an organization did not exist in Arkansas, a revelation that evoked both surprise and a motivation to create such an entity. In the fall of 2011, the first induction ceremony took place with 15 Arkansas Veterans and 25 Medal of Honor Recipients inducted into the Hall of Fame.

On April 4, 2011, the Arkansas State Legislature and the Governor recognized the newly formed AMVHOF with a Joint Resolution.
