Command Sergeant Major Timothy Burch Farley from Paragould
served with the US Army in Iraq and Kuwait. Command Sergeant Major Farley is a
recipient of the Legion of Merit and a decorated combat veteran who served as a
Platoon Sergeant attached to the 2nd Armored Cavalry Regiment during combat
operations in Iraq and Kuwait. He was awarded the Bronze Star Medal for his
actions during this period. Additionally, he received the Meritorious Service
Medal for exemplary service as a First Sergeant and earned five Army
Commendation Medals, four Army Achievement Medals, and numerous other awards
and decorations.
Command Sergeant Major Farley was also recognized for his
service to the US Army Corps of Engineers and was awarded the Bronze de Fleury
Medal. Throughout his career, he served in highly deployable units and
completed four tours of duty on jump status in airborne units at Fort Bragg,
NC. He also served in Berlin, Germany, before the end of the Cold War as a
Staff Sergeant in the 82nd Airborne Division. During this time, he was one of
only two qualified jumpmasters in his company for nearly eight months and was
awarded Centurion Jump Wings for completing 100 military parachute jumps.
