LT. Colonel Hay of Texarkana. His awards include the Silver Star Medal for Gallantry, the Bronze Star Medal for Valor, the Purple Heart Medal, and six Air Medals for combat in Vietnam.
Staff Sergeant Jacks of Rison earned the Silver Star Medal for Gallantry, the Bronze Star Medal for Valor and the Purple Heart Medal during combat in Vietnam.
Command Sergeant Major Lee of Newport served in World War II, Korea, and Vietnam. His awards include the Legion of Merit, the Purple Heart Medal and four Army Commendation Medals.
Captain Martin, deceased, of Greenwood earned the Bronze Star Medal while serving as a Medical Officer in the 76th Infantry Division in World War II. Following the War he served the Fort Smith area as a Physician, Medical Director, and Historian.
Sergeant Major Nail of Lafferty served three tours in Vietnam with the 5th Special Forces Group and was inducted into the Special Forces Regimental Hall of Fame. Among his awards are three Bronze Star Medals for Valor, the Purple Heart Medal, and the Meritorious Service Medal.
Colonel Phillips, deceased, of Hot Springs Village served in Korea and completed two combat aviation tours in Vietnam. During his 24-year career he earned the Silver Star Medal for Gallantry, two awards of the Legion of Merit, two Distinguished Flying Crosses, the Bronze Star, 18 Air Medals and two Meritorious Service Medals.
LT. Colonel Schoenborn, Jr. of Jonesboro was awarded the Bronze Star Medal in Vietnam .During his 20 year Army career he earned the Defense Meritorious Service Medal and three awards of the Meritorious Service Medal. He is Chairman of the Arkansas Veterans Commission and active in Veterans support work in Northeast Arkansas.
Lt. Colonel Stedman of Sherwood served as an Air Force pilot in Vietnam and earned two Air Medals and the Air Force Commendation Medal. Active in civic affairs in Sherwood, he has served as a member of the Sherwood City Council and Mayor.
Colonel Thomas of Searcy fought as an Infantry Officer in Vietnam earning the Bronze Star Medal and the Army Commendation Medal for Valor. He served three decades in the Arkansas Army National Guard earning the Legion of Merit. He serves on the Arkansas Veterans Commission and is active in civic service to Searcy.
